Charlestown Primary School (CPS) continues to dominate the ongoing National Bank-sponsored Primary Schools Football Tournament, maintaining its position at the top of the standings following another round of action.
Round Seven of the competition was played on Wednesday, October 28, at the ET Willet Park, with several schools recording impressive results.
Charlestown Primary defeated Nevis Academy 3-1 to remain at the top of the points table. Josiah Meade led the way for CPS with a brace, while Lawjorn Forbes added a goal. William Guy scored the lone goal for Nevis Academy.
St. Thomas’ Primary also delivered a commanding performance, thrashing St. James’ Primary 6-0. The victors scored five goals in the first half, but St. James’ Primary deserves credit for a much-improved defensive effort in the second half, preventing further goals.
Meanwhile, VOJN edged EPPS 2-1, with Zander Nisbett and Jayden Hanley finding the net for VOJN. Engel Amardar scored for EPPS.
JLPS secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Montessori, courtesy of a brace from Dylandre Swanston.
IWPS also enjoyed a convincing outing, defeating MCPS 4-1. Kaden Williams scored twice, while Dwight Needham and Caiden Archibald contributed one goal each to complete the scoring for IWPS.
With another round completed, Charlestown Primary School remains the team to beat as the competition continues.
