Nevis — Leewards all-rounder Colin Kezron Archibald has returned home following a successful stint playing cricket in the English leagues.
Archibald, affectionately known as “Kezie,” represented Knowles Cricket Club in Bristol, where he delivered an impressive all-round performance throughout the season.
In a recent interview, Archibald revealed that he scored more than 900 runs and claimed 30 wickets during the season, despite suffering an injury towards the latter stages of the campaign.
Knowles Cricket Club finished the season in mid-table, a result Archibald described as a fair performance given the challenges faced throughout the campaign.
Reflecting on his time in England, Archibald described the experience as “really fulfilling,” noting the valuable exposure, competition, and relationships he gained during his stint.
The experienced all-rounder is now looking forward to using the contacts he established in the United Kingdom to help provide similar opportunities for younger cricketers from the Federation. He is committed to assisting emerging players in gaining exposure to competitive cricket and experiencing playing conditions in the UK.
During his time in England, Archibald also played an instrumental role in securing cricket equipment for the Cricket Academy launched by the Ministry of Sports on Nevis. His efforts will help provide young cricketers with the necessary resources to develop their skills and further their cricketing ambitions.
Archibald’s successful UK stint represents not only a personal achievement but also an opportunity to help strengthen the pathway for the next generation of cricketers from Nevis and the wider Leeward Islands.
