Condé Nast Traveler Readers Name Nisbet Plantation Beach Club, Nevis, One of the Caribbean’s Best

NEVIS, West Indies — In the 2013 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, Nisbet Plantation Beach Club on Nevis has once again been named as one of the Top 25 Resorts in the Caribbean.

The intimate 36-room Nevis resort is ranked No. 3 in the Caribbean, Bermuda and Bahamas. It is also the top-ranking resort on the two-island nation of St. Kitts and Nevis. This marks Nisbet Plantation’s eighth appearance on the prestigious list. Nisbet Plantation scored high marks with the magazine’s affluent readers with an overall rating of 94.9.

“It is always an honor to be recognized by the discerning travelers and readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine, and to be included among such a highly regarded group of resorts in the region,” says Steve Tyson, Executive Director of Guest Services. “I’m proud of the ladies and gentlemen of Nisbet Plantation. This award honors their exceptional commitment to guest service and to providing a memorable vacation experience.”

Also receiving acclaim on the 26th annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, the Island of Nevis ranked No. 3 among the Top 10 Islands in the Caribbean and Atlantic. The magazine’s “readers think of Nevis as a ‘secret hideaway,’ the ‘hidden gem of the Caribbean.’” The friendliness of Nevisians, abundance of natural beauty and activities, and great food also contributed to the Island of Nevis’ high score.

The 26th annual Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are a result of the travel magazine’s survey ranking the best cities, islands, cruise lines, airlines, hotels and resorts in the world. A record-breaking 79,268 readers participated in this year’s survey casting 1.3 million votes for 16,000 properties around the world. Resorts are rated based upon several categories: rooms, service, food, location, design and activities.

The 2013 Readers’ Choice Awards are available online at www.cntraveler.com and in the November 2013 issue of the magazine, which is on newsstands now.
