Cricket : Australia Women Overpower West Indies Women in Warm-Up Encounter

The Australian women’s team overpowered their West Indies counterparts in a warm-up match on Wednesday.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the West Indies Women struggled following the early dismissal of Deandra Dottin, as the rest of the batting lineup collapsed and they were restricted to 131 runs.

Dottin top-scored with 46, while captain Hayley Matthews and Jahzara Claxton contributed 15 runs each.

Hamilton and Gardner claimed two wickets apiece for Australia.

In reply, the Australia Women cruised to 134 for 4, led by an unbeaten 77 from Georgia Voll.

Australia Women won the match by six wickets.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup officially bowls off this weekend.
