The Barbados under-19 Women’s Cricket Team has taken Championship Honours in the Regional Women’s Under-19 Cricket Tournament.
This feat was accomplished on Saturday, 19th July, when they faced off with the Leewards team.
Leewards batted first and scored 93 all out with Skipper Jahzara Claxton top scoring with 28.
Cumberbatch and Mayers got 3 wickets each.
In the rain-affected encounter, Barbados got to 72 for 3 in 12.2 overs, overhauling the required target via the DLS method.
Calendar top scored with 14, and Jahzara Claxton got 2 for 26.
Barbados is securing the regional title as champions.
