The Nevis Cricket Association’s two-day tournament continued at the Brown Hill Recreation Ground on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, with hosts Brown Hill and All Stars battling to an exciting draw.
All Stars batted first and were bowled out for 141, with Akil Grenidge leading the way with a well-compiled 73.
Kunal Tilokani was the pick of the Brown Hill bowlers, claiming 4 for 46.
In reply, Brown Hill posted 172 for 9, securing first-innings honours. Shelton Forbes top-scored with an impressive 81.
For All Stars, Onaje Amory was the standout bowler, finishing with 4 for 62.
All Stars returned to the crease and batted deep into Sunday afternoon before eventually declaring on 217 for 6, setting Brown Hill a target of 187 for victory.
Sharma scored a half-century, making 50, while Ross Powell contributed 46 and Grenidge added 39 to his match tally.
Colin Archibald led the Brown Hill bowling attack with 3 for 42.
Brown Hill opted not to pursue the target aggressively and, despite some resistance, reached 128 for 4 when play was eventually called off.
Hosea Pluck remained unbeaten on 47, while Amoree Jones contributed 33.
Jaden Carmichael was the most successful All Stars bowler in Brown Hill’s second innings, taking 2 for 23.
With time running out, the match ended in a draw, with Brown Hill taking the first-innings honours in an entertaining contest.
