Cricket : Empire Dispose of Pioneers to Secure Finals Berth

It was expected to be a much tougher encounter, but it ended in a one-sided affair.

It was the second of the first division semifinals, in the 40 overs per team tournament, being hosted by the Nevis Cricket Association.

The match was played on Sunday 14th August, at the VOJN grounds.

Empire batting first, got to a healthy 198 for 8 in their allotted overs.

When the Pioneers team batted, they were rocked back very early by Rakeesh Subnarine and Reon Solomon and never got going after that.
