The 2026 Runako Morton/TDC Primary Schools Cricket Tournament continued on Wednesday, June 24, with three competitive matches as Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School (EPPS), Maude Cross Preparatory School, and Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS) all recorded impressive victories.

Maude Cross Claims 10-Wicket Win

Maude Cross Preparatory School produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat St. James’ Primary School by 10 wickets.

St. James’ struggled to build partnerships and finished on 37 for 6 from their allotted overs. Maude Cross then made light work of the chase, reaching 39 without loss to complete a comprehensive victory.

Joycelyn Liburd Overcomes VOJN

Batting first, JLPS posted a competitive total of 102 for 6 before producing a disciplined bowling performance to dismiss VOJN for 86, sealing a well-earned victory.

EPPS Defeats Defending Champions

In the day’s feature encounter, Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School handed defending champions Ivor Walters Primary School their first defeat of the tournament with an impressive eight-wicket victory.

Ivor Walters Primary were restricted to 72 for 4 after EPPS delivered a disciplined bowling display. In reply, EPPS comfortably chased down the target, finishing on 73 for 2 to secure victory with plenty of overs to spare.
