Leeward Islands U-19s Claim Consolation Win Over USA 2 at ET Willet Park
The Leeward Islands Under-19 team secured a convincing 66-run victory over the USA 2 team on Thursday, 24th July at ET Willet Park.
Batting first, the Leewards posted a competitive total of 211 all out, with Zavio Henry leading the charge with 64 runs, supported by a brisk 47 from Israel Morton. The USA’s bowling attack was led by Patel and Appidi, who picked up three wickets apiece.
In reply, the USA 2 team was bowled out for 145, falling short of the target. Basu top-scored with 40, but the standout performance came from Israel Morton, who starred with the ball, taking 5 for 40 to seal the win for the Leewards.
