The Leewards Under-17 cricket team staged an impressive comeback after a challenging start against their Jamaican counterparts. Bowled out for just 96 runs in their first innings, the Leewards responded with a superb bowling effort, dismissing Jamaica for only 75 runs.
In their second innings, the Leewards were led by a determined knock of 84 runs from captain Tanez Francis. They declared at an impressive 236 for 8, setting Jamaica a winning target of 257. Local talent Lythe Browne contributed an unbeaten 25 runs to the total.
Jamaica fought hard in their final innings and managed to hold on for a draw, finishing at 195 for 7 when play ended.
