As the Runako Morton/TDC Primary Schools Cricket tournament continued on Monday, 7th July, only one match was played at the unofficial Meritzer Williams Park, located at Ramsbury.

Batting first, the Prep school scored a massive 151 for 2 in 12 overs, mainly due to 86 by the in-form Rozen Daniel.

When the St. James’ team batted, they were undone by two bowlers, Elijah Tyson, who got 4 wickets, including a hat-trick and Rozen Daniel, who also picked up 4 wickets, including a hat-trick.

St. James’ Primary, 13 for 8-effectively all out.

The win propelled the Prep school into the finals, as the established rules indicate that the team that tops the table in the preliminary matches will automatically qualify for the finals.

There are now three teams vying for that other coveted spot: Charlestown Primary, St. Thomas’ Primary and defending champions, Ivor Walters Primary.
