Charlestown -Nevis-Minister of Sports, Hon. Troy Liburd made a monetary donation to the Nevis Cricket Association on behalf of the Nevis Island Administration, on Wednesday
He indicated that in response to a request made, the $50,000.00 cheque was the NIA’s contribution to the upcoming Gala event, honouring Mr. Elquemedo Willet, 50 years after he made history as the first Leeward Islander to make it into the West Indies Cricket team
The cheque was received by Nevis’ Cricket chief, Carlisle Powell
