The West Indies team, in spite of four changes to the lineup, suffered yet another defeat on Thursday night, as they faced off with Pakistan at Broward County in Florida.
Pakistan, batting first, scored a competitive 178 for 6, with Ayub top scoring with 57.
Shamar Joseph was the pick of the bowlers with his 3 for 30.
West Indies, when they batted, could only get to 164 for 7, with Johnson Charles and debutant Jewel Andrew getting 35 each.
Nawaz bagged 3 for 23 to undermine the home team.
Pakistan won by 14 runs.
The next two games at the venue will be played on Saturday, 2nd and Sunday, 3rd August.
