The Education and Sports departments on Nevis combined to host an all-stars game, comprising the top cricketers from the recently held Primary Schools’ cricket championship on Nevis.
Team A was led by Rozen Daniel, and Team B was led by T-Vern Herbert.
The match was played at the Villa grounds on Wednesday, 23rd July.
Team B batted first and scored 71 runs, with Zyjon Richardson top-scoring with 16.
Daniel, Persaud and K’Vern Herbert got 2 wickets each.
Team A overhauled the target, getting to 72 for 6, with Rozen Daniel top scoring with a masterly 29.
Zakeem Bailey grabbed 2 for 29.
Team A won by 4 wickets.
Two more matches are scheduled in the series: One on Friday, 25th and the other on Sunday, 27th July.
