Cricket T-10 Tournament Continues on Nevis

The T-10 tournament which is being hosted by the Nevis Cricket Association and which was on pause for several weeks, in order to accommodate other activities, resumed over the last weekend.

On Saturday 3rd June, Masters picked up some easy points, as New Vision surprisingly failed to show up in sufficient numbers for the game.

In another match, Highlights 2 took care of Youths of Nevis.

Youths of Nevis batted first and scored 80 for 3 from their allotted 10 overs: Malik Wallace top scored with 33 not out and Anan Bhim scored an aggressive 17, even pulling speedster Zario Chumney out of the Park for a maximum, only to be struck flush in the forehead by the bowler, the very next delivery.

Chumney, Jones and Nisbett picked up one wicket each.

Highlights 2 then cruised to victory, getting to 83 for 2 in 7.5 overs: Lythe Browne got 26 and Dewan Phillip got 21.

Sunday 5th June, proved to be a disappointing day, as only one match was played.

Pioneers failed to show up for their match versus Empire and All Stars failed to show up for their match versus Highlights 1.

However, SDA Jets engaged Easterns.

Easterns won the toss and elected to bat first and were reduced to 33 for 7 in their allotted 10 overs.

Dwayne Newton top scored with 16.

Kiah Wilkes bagged 3 wickets for 12 runs, which involved a hat trick; Curtis Morton Sr picked up 3 wickets for 1 run and Melecia Clarke got 1 for 9.

The SDA Jets cruised to victory in 3.3 overs: Jadell Allen 14 not out and Curtis Morton Sr 9 not out.
