On Friday 23rd June, the Violet OJ Nicholls Primary School (VOJN), came up against the Joycelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS), as the Runako Morton/TDC Primary Schools’ cricket championship continued.
VOJN won the toss and decided to bat first.
DeShawn James was the ultimate hero, as he smashed a quick-fire half-century and was unbeaten at the end.
He was well supported by Skipper De ’Morae Prentice and Te’Jahni Daniel.
When the JLPS team batted, they lost wickets at regular intervals and eventually succumbed at 51 for 9.
