Cricket Windwards Under-15s Complete Perfect Series Victory

The Windward Islands wrapped up the 2026 campaign of Cricket West Indies’ Rising Stars Under-15 Men’s Tournament with an unbeaten record, edging the Leeward Islands by two wickets in a tense encounter at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda on Monday to complete a 5–0 series sweep.

Batting first, the Leeward Islands were dismissed for 137, with Aedan Williams top-scoring with 51 and Deshawn James contributing 32. Kymani Davis led the Windwards’ bowling effort with impressive figures of 3-19.

In reply, the Windwards reached 140 for 8 to seal victory, thanks largely to a composed 30 from Justin and a valuable 20 from St. Hillaire. Marchan was the pick of the Leewards’ bowlers with 2-16.

Following three abandoned matches in their series, Guyana secured a 2–0 victory over Barbados after claiming a 37-run win via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in the final round at the Albion Sports Complex.

Guyana posted 115 for 7, with Nabbie scoring 26 and Dhanraj finishing unbeaten on 16, while Sahadeo took 2-14 for Barbados. In response, Barbados struggled to 79 for 9, as Seecharan produced a match-winning spell of 4-5. Sargeant led the Barbados scoring with 30.

Meanwhile, hosts Jamaica finished their series against Trinidad and Tobago with a 3–1 result after claiming a consolation five-wicket win in Monday’s final round at Melbourne Park in Kingston.

Trinidad and Tobago were bowled out for 74, with Mongru top-scoring with 24. Turner starred with the ball for Jamaica, taking 5-19. Jamaica then chased down the target, reaching 75 for 5, led by Buchanan with 18 and McGeachy with 15.

Individual Awards

Aedan Williams was adjudged the Most Valuable Player for the Leeward Islands Under-15 team. He finished as the team’s leading run-scorer, with a highest score of an unbeaten 51, and also topped the bowling charts with 11 wickets from five matches.

Deshawn James received the award for the most catches by an outfielder, while Karese Bolo Farrell was recognized as the wicketkeeper with the most dismissals.
