Cricket : Windwards Under-16s Defeat Leewards Again

The West Indies Under-16 Cricket Tournament continued on Tuesday, March 31, with the Windward Islands Under-16 cricket team facing off against the Leeward Islands Under-16 cricket team at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

After winning the toss, Windwards elected to bat first and posted a total of 167 all out. Contributions came from Lewis with 28 and Joseph with 27, helping to set a competitive target.

Leewards’ bowling effort was led by Aeden Williams, who claimed an impressive 4 wickets for 40 runs, while Kamari France supported well with 3 for 23.

In response, Leewards struggled to chase down the target and were bowled out for 137. Aeden Williams capped a strong all-round performance by top scoring with 33, while Deshawn James added 29.

Windwards’ bowling attack proved decisive, with Nian Davis leading the charge with 3 wickets for 18 runs.

In the end, Windwards secured a convincing 30-run victory, marking their second win over Leewards in the tournament.
