Superfast Broadband speed of up to 48Mbps, which can be as much as six times(6x) the speed customers previously enjoyed, is now available in Anguilla and Turks & Caicos Islands. In what could be described as a highly anticipated
network upgrade from the region’s leading telecoms provider to customers, LIME rolled out this exciting new service.
LIME enabled automatic switch over to ensure customers within the areas where the new service is available could experience the Superfast Broadband speeds for themselves. For a three (3) month grace period, the increased data speeds will initially be at no extra cost to customers. Thereafter, billing will be applied according to the new plan speeds selected by thecustomer.
Speaking at the launch in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, LIME’s GM, James Pitt said, “This forms part of a major regional network upgrade investment strategy which the company has undertaken. Within the TCI, our network upgrade was allocated some US$10 million dollars. With that, we have delivered on our commitment to upgrade our Mobile Services to Superfast 4G, and now our customers can also experience Superfast Broadband service at home. With LIME’s Superfast Broadband service customers who select higher package speeds can surf, stream, download and game, all at the same time, without
buffering or lagging of any kind.”
In Anguilla, Mathieu Dion, LIME’s GM hinted at other innovations to come when he said, “our mission is to continue to deliver the latest innovations to our customers in the region and strive to exceed their expectations, where the
customer defines excellence.”
Mathieu Dion also added, “This a phased roll out and we invite customers across Anguilla as well as in the TCI to visit LIME.com, click on the Line-Checker feature to determine if Superfast Broadband service is currently available in your area.” LIME’s latest customer offering, Superfast Broadband is available in a variety of plans that cater for the casual internet user sending emails and pictures at home as well as the digitally savvy user who requires faster speeds for high definition
video streaming, interactive gaming and superfast music and image downloads.
