Charlestown, St. Kitts and Nevis — News was received on Sunday, March 1, of the passing of Dean Emeritus The Very Rev. James Rudolph Smithen, CSM, GCM, M.A., B.Th., L.Th.
Dean Smithen was a devoted and faithful servant of the Diocese of the North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba and dedicated many years to ministry and community service throughout the region.
A native of Barnes Ghaut in St. Thomas Parish, Nevis, he was widely respected for his spiritual leadership, commitment to the Church, and lasting impact on generations of parishioners.
Condolences are extended to his family, friends, and all who mourn his passing.
