It was the opening day of the 2026 WINLOTT / Windward Islands Under-19 Cricket tournament.

Grenada, having won the toss, sent the hosts to take first knock on a dry but grassy strip, but Aiden Burton, with 58 off 62 deliveries, ensured his team posted a good total. Alex Armstrong made 27 before he was comprehensively beaten and bowled by Aravinda Bishop, the pick of the Grenadian bowlers, with 2 for 46. Skipper Earsinho Fontaine remained 25 not out as Dominica, at the rain-enforced cut-off point, was 168 for 3 off 33.3 overs. The other wicket-taker was Aaron Edwards, with 1 for 25.

Grenada’s revised target was forced upon them following two rain breaks, after which, following the calculations, the revised target under the Duckworth/Lewis Method was 209 in 29 overs.

Raekeim Lewis Charles made 35 from 62 deliveries faced, Jordan John 18 from 16 balls, and Khavauhgn Bartholomew 16 from 16 were Grenada’s main contributors to their effort. Bowling for the hosts, Vince Darroux finished with 3 for 07, Donte Benjamin 1 for 16, and Man-of-the-Match Aiden Burton took 1 for 12 to go with his earlier knock of 58; as Dominica wrapped up a decisive 96-run victory before an appreciative group of spectators scattered around the large facility.

Over at the Geneva Playing Field in Grand Bay, Saint Lucia bowled themselves to a massive 163 run victory with time to spare, totalling 208 in 43.5 overs.
