Diamonds World Tour and Rihanna come to Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, Barbados — The Diamonds World Tour and Rihanna come to Barbados on November 1, 2013.

The name Rihanna is now synonymous with Barbados. This mega star has placed this island of 166.4 sq miles with a population of 283,221 on the map. She continues to do so with her Diamonds World Tour.
Scores of locals and foreigners alike are expected to flock the grounds of the Kensington Oval on November 1st, 2013.

A representative from local advertisers G & A Communications said, “We are catering to locals and visitors to the island, ages 18-65, music lovers and supporters of Rihanna who became one of the biggest stars in music.”

GTA, a band of deejays that play a variety of music, will be the opening act for the event.

Rihanna has just completed a successful run throughout Europe, China as well as Manila, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Abu Dhabi, Tel Aviv and San Juan. She will perform in Barbados before returning to the US for the final leg of the tour.

According to her local promoters, Rihanna is referred to as the “#1 Person On Facebook” with over 74 million fans and over 30 million Twitter followers.

Forbes named Rihanna the world’s #1 social media star and the “Vevo Empress” has just reached another milestone with over 4 billion views on YouTube / VEVO, the most ever for any artiste.

They expect the show to be a successful one with tickets sales rising.

“Diamonds” has become one of the Barbadian artist’s hottest singles, dominating global charts. It is said to be “the fastest-rising single of her career to date” and first single to be released from Unapologetic, her seventh studio album for Island Def Jam in just seven years.

This album has become her sixth platinum in the USA.
