Small wonder, the Easterns under 21 team was the dominant force during the recently concluded, Youth and Sports department under 21 T-20 Cricket tournament.
This was evident as the team copped all of the outstanding awards at the closing ceremony last Saturday evening.
During the closing ceremony ably chaired by chief coordinator of the tournament, Carl Tuckett, the Eastern team took all of the top honors as follows:
Man of the match for the finals-Lazari Bartlette
Bowler with the most wickets-Malik Semper Wallace
Batsman with most runs-Saeed Williams
They of course also took the huge winner’s trophy, to make it two years in a row, that they have had the honour to do so.
Also offering brief remarks at the ceremony, was Minister of Sports, Hon. Eric Evelyn, who warmly congratulated the organizers and the cricketers in general but had special words of commendation for the winning Easterns team.
