EC$7 million invested to date on Imperial Bay St. Kitts Golf & Beach Residences, 60 persons employed on the project

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 27TH 2014 (CUOPM) – Just about EC$7 million has been invested to date on the EC$40 million 86 one-bedroom Imperial Bay St. Kitts Golf & Beach Residences now under construction.

Project Manager and General Manager of SKN Homes, Mr. Farron Lawrence said some 60 persons are already employed on the project at Half Moon Bay.

When completed six buildings comprising 86-one bedroom condos and a pool will be constructed.

Mr. Lawrence disclosed in an interview with the Communications Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (CUOPM) that two additional buildings will be constructed, one to accommodate a convenience store and the other a restaurant.

He said the buildings are at various stages of construction.

“Buildings 1 and 2 structures are completed and finishes have recently started. Building 3 is about to start work on the third. Building 4 is about to start work on the second level and buildings 5 and 6 are in the final stage of completing works on the first level,” said Lawrence.

Buildings 1 and 2 will house 12 units each on two levels. Buildings 3 and 4 will have three levels with each comprising 18 units and buildings 5 and 6 will also have three levels with a small basement with each building comprising 18 units, office and storage space.

The project is expected to be completed by August 2015.

Imperial Bay St. Kitts Golf & Beach Residences is located next to the site of the 298-unit US$200 million Koi Resort & Residences. Piling for the foundation of the first phase two weeks ago and the first phase will see the construction and completion of 80 units, along with a beach bar spa, conference room and gym for a December 2015 opening.

Both projects have attracted investors from Dubai, with local partners under the Citizenship by Investment Programme.
