Empire Gets the Better of Highlights

By: Curtis Morton

At one point in the encounter, the Empire Cricket team seemed to be in a position to take full points in their match versus Highlights. However, an exciting partnership between Xavier Cornelius and Theron Bussue, halted any further thoughts of an outright win and Empire had to settle for first innings honours.

The match was played at the ET Willet Park between Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May.

Earlier the Empire centurions from last week, in Kejel Tyson and Andre Browne, both struck half centuries but failed to carry on.

Theron Bussue for the Highlights team, had a great match with both bat and ball and captain Ian TOMBO Byron looked quick in short bursts.
