Examinations Registrar Advises on Queries Raised in Relation To CXC Results

(EMU) – St. Kitts, August 14th, 2013: Examinations Registrar, Solomon Claxton has commented on queries coming out of the online release of CXC results for the May – June 2013 examinations.

According to Mr. Claxton, candidates who wish to have their grade reviewed are to visit the Ministry of Education in St. Kitts and Nevis to have this completed.

A valid credit or debit card is required to complete the process. Persons who wish to use a bank draft will need to make it out to the Registrar, CXC and will incur the cost of shipping the draft.

The registrar said that the deadline for a grade review is Wednesday September 11, 2013 and CXC must be in receipt of the payment and grade review request at that time.
Candidates who received a grade of absent or ungraded because of missing documents and were present for both exams are required to bring their candidate receipt in order to raise this query. Per CXC’s regulations, persons who wrote only one paper will be issued a grade of absent.

Mr. Solomon Claxton, CXC Local Registrar advises that for those candidates that received a grade of withheld that he will raise that query on their behalf and will update them on a response as soon as it is available.

Additionally, candidates are being asked to check their personal details (i.e. name, sex, date of birth) and ensure that these are accurate. A copy of a birth certificate or passport as well as a bank draft for $BDS 50.00 made out to the Registrar, CXC must be submitted to the Ministry of Education by Wednesday September 4, 2013 for those persons who find errors. This is in order to prevent the high costs of having this rectified after certificates are issued.
