False Social Media Claim Regarding School Cell Phone Policy Addressed

Basseterre, St. Kitts — The Ministry of Education wishes to advise the public that a graphic currently circulating on social media, which claims that the School Cell Phone Policy has been cancelled, is false and did not originate from the Ministry.

The Ministry states emphatically that there has been no change to the Cell Phone Policy implemented at the start of the current school term. The policy remains fully in effect, and the information presented in the circulated image is inaccurate.

The Ministry of Education continues to stand firmly by the existing policy and urges all stakeholders—students, parents, and educators—to adhere to its guidelines.

The public is reminded to rely only on official communication channels for accurate and verified information. These include the Ministry’s official Facebook page, SKN Education Media Unit – EMU, its website (education.gov.kn), **St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS)**, and other reputable media outlets that share original Ministry-issued content.

The Ministry thanks the public for its continued cooperation and vigilance in ensuring that misinformation is not spread.
