The Federation has recorded its 19th murder for the year 2015. Dead is said to be 19 year old Rakheim Hanley, originally of Market Street, Basseterre, St. Kitts but who resided in McKnight Village, Basseterre, St. Kitts.
The young man was gunned down on Thomas Road, Irish Town, Basseterre sometime about 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. He was later rushed to the Joseph N. France Hospital and was rushed into emergency surgery but later succumb to his injuries.
Hanley’s death brings the total number of homicide in the Federation to 19, with 13 recorded in St. Kitts and 6 on the island of Nevis.
Albert Myers was the latest homicide victim on the island of Nevis. He was laid to rest on Saturday, August 22, 2015.
Police investigations into these homicides continue.
