Cricket fans in St. Kitts and Nevis have been treated to two thrilling encounters as the West Indies Women’s cricket team face the Australia Women’s national cricket team in a high-quality One Day International (ODI) series at Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

In the opening ODI on Friday, March 27, Australia Women secured a commanding 103-run victory. They posted an imposing 341 all out before restricting the West Indies Women to 238 for 8. Despite a valiant unbeaten century from Stafanie Taylor, the hosts fell short against a dominant Australian side.
The second ODI on Sunday, March 29, saw Australia Women continue their strong form, claiming a 90-run win after scoring 269 for 7 and bowling out West Indies Women for 179. The result gave the visitors an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series.
The series has also marked a historic milestone for the twin-island federation, as local talent Jahzara Claxton made her international appearance on home soil, proudly representing the West Indies in front of a supportive home crowd.
With two matches completed, fans now have one final opportunity to see Claxton in action as the series concludes with the highly anticipated third ODI.

The St. Kitts Cricket Association is encouraging the public to come out in full support of Claxton and the West Indies Women as they aim to finish the series strongly against a formidable Australian team.
