It is expected to be an epic battle, as the Maude Cross Preparatory School faces off with defending champions, Ivor Walters Primary, in the grand finals of the Runako Morton/TDC Primary schools’ Cricket tournament.
After weeks of preliminary matches, it has come down to the top two teams facing off today, at the Ramsbury grounds, starting at 3 pm.
The Maude Cross team qualified by topping the points table, and defending champions Ivor Walters Primary qualified on Thursday, 10th July, when they just edged out the Charlestown Primary team in a semifinal encounter.
Scores in that game:
CPS 81 for 5: Zakeem Bailey 47
IWPS 82 for 3 in 11 overs: Jeremy Liburd 26
IWPS won by 7 wickets
The big question is: Which team will prevail?
Can Rozen Daniel lead the MCPS team to victory, or will the Herbert twins dominate for the IWPS?
