We recognise and salute a distinguished son of Nevis and a dedicated servant of the Bank of Nevis Limited, Mr Hanzel Manners.

Current BON CEO, Denrick Liburd, having a light moment with Mr Manners

Mr Manners was a founding Director and the first Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Nevis Limited.

At a time when the Bank was newly established, with no parent institution to rely upon, many persons were understandably hesitant to take on such a tremendous responsibility.

The two giants. Manners with Richard Lupinacci (R) the first Manager of the Bank.

But Mr Manners demonstrated courage, confidence, and a deep commitment to the development of Nevis. He bravely accepted the challenge and became the Bank’s first Chairman.

His contribution did not end there.

In the 1990s, Mr Manners joined the staff of the Bank of Nevis Limited, taking on the important role of Chief Financial Officer, a position he held until his retirement.

A light chat with Managing Director of Carib Brewery, Mark Wilkin (L), and Mr. Manners’ son (Auren), on the right.

Over the course of his remarkable 23 years of service, he played an important role in strengthening the Bank’s financial foundation and supporting its continued development and growth.

He helped lay the foundation upon which our bank was founded.
