Football | Dieppe Bay Footballers Depart for UK Friendly Tournament

DIEPPE BAY, ST. KITTS – October 11, 2025 – The Dieppe Bay Football Club has departed the Federation for Leeds, England, to participate in a two-week friendly tournament aimed at providing international exposure and personal development opportunities for its young players.

Club President and Manager Kalia Huggins described the trip as a well-earned reward for the team’s outstanding performance in winning the First Division title. Beyond the pitch, she emphasised a deeper mission:

“This initiative is about more than football. It’s about showing our young men that there’s a world beyond drugs and gangs. Football can open doors and change lives.”

Head Coach Kenroy Hodge noted the team’s dedication in the lead-up to the trip.

“After winning Division One, we took just one week off. Since then, the team has been training hard and preparing for this moment.”

The players are enthusiastic about the opportunity, viewing the tournament as a chance to both showcase their skills and grow personally and professionally through overseas exposure.
