CAP CANA, Punta Cana — August 23, 2026 — Haiti were crowned champions of the Tier I division of the 2026 CFU Boys’ Under-14 Challenge Series after a commanding 4–0 victory over Jamaica when the teams met in the final on Sunday at Cap Cana Sports City in Punta Cana.

From the opening whistle, Haiti asserted their dominance, pressing forward and repeatedly testing the Jamaican defence. Ronelson Janvier had an early chance in the 16th minute, but his effort was blocked.

Two minutes later, Haiti came close again when Messi Jean found Janvier, who beat his defender to create a one-on-one opportunity. However, his attempted chip was denied by Jamaica goalkeeper Knevoy Brown, who was later named the tournament’s Best Goalkeeper.

After creating several chances, Haiti finally broke the deadlock in the 28th minute. Janvier laid off the ball to Jodeley Delmas, who calmly placed his shot into the bottom-left corner, giving Haiti the lead heading into halftime.

Haiti continued to dominate after the restart and doubled their advantage in the 38th minute when Wensley Dumorne struck from just inside the penalty area.

Brown made another crucial save in the 46th minute, denying Marvens Fenelon and briefly keeping Jamaica within reach at 2–0. However, Haiti extended their lead just a minute later. Jean Paul set up Dumorne, who beat two defenders before firing home to complete his brace.

Janvier then capped off Haiti’s impressive performance in the 59th minute. After beating a defender, he calmly slotted the ball into the net to make it 4–0.

At the final whistle, Haiti celebrated in style as they lifted the trophy and were officially crowned the 2026 CFU Boys’ Under-14 Challenge Series Tier I champions following their emphatic victory over Jamaica.

Delmas finished the tournament as the leading goalscorer, while Dumorne earned MVP honours. Haiti’s commanding performance capped an impressive campaign and secured their place at the top of the Tier I division.
