BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — Regular-season powerhouses Honda Newtown United and defending champions Mapau Cayon Rockettes have officially booked their spots in the championship decider of the SKNFA Elvis Star Browne Women’s League, following decisive semi-final triumphs at the National Bank Group Technical Centre.
Honda Newtown United delivered a masterclass performance, cruising past newcomers S.L. Horsford St. Paul’s United Sparks with a dominant 10–0 victory. Newtown skipper Christi-Anne Mills led from the front with a brilliant four-goal display, complemented by a sharp hat-trick from Sharema Blake. Zonia Marshall (39′) and Junequa Henry (51′) each added to the tally before Takia Carty capped off the clinical performance in deep stoppage time (90+2′).
In the evening’s second fixture, defending champions Mapau Cayon Rockettes showed great resilience in a tightly contested clash against MFCR Old Road United Lady Jets. A 13th-minute strike from Jollincia Clarke proved to be the match-winner, holding up as the sole goal in a hard-fought 1–0 victory to propel Cayon back into the final.
The stage is now set for a blockbuster final featuring regular-season leader Honda Newtown United against reigning titleholders Mapau Cayon Rockettes. The SKNFA Elvis Star Browne Women’s League Final takes place on Wednesday, August 26, at 7:00 PM at the National Bank Group Technical Centre. Admission is free to the public.
