Football : SKN Under-17 Team Off to SVG

The St. Kitts and Nevis Under-17 Men’s National Team has departed the Federation for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, embarking on a high-stakes mission that could propel them onto football’s biggest youth stage.

The young Sugar Boyz are competing in CONCACAF U-17 Qualifiers Group E, where they face strong opposition from the United States, the Dominican Republic, and host nation Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

The tournament format is straightforward but demanding: win the group and secure qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup. It is a winner-takes-all scenario that will test the resilience, skill, and character of St. Kitts and Nevis’ brightest young football talents.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) announced the team’s departure on social media, urging residents to rally behind the national youth squad as they “represent the country with pride.”

Three Nevisians included in the squad all represent Tropical Blossom Hot Springs Bath United:

Lajewan Jeffers

Kymarni Newton

Ni’ziah Skeete

Meanwhile, in their opening match against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the young Sugar Boyz were defeated 5–0.
