Football : St. Paul’s Takes President’s Cup

It was obvious that the Football fans were hungry for real action.

After a one-year hiatus, due to the covid-19 pandemic, Football action returned to the Warner Park stadium, as the SKNFA hosted the President’s cup on the evening of Wednesday 4th May.

St. Paul’s came up against St. Peter’s and shockingly, in the third minute of the game, Petrez Williams of St. Paul’s, struck the back of the net and despite the best efforts of St. Peter’s team, they just could not equalize, on the night.

The manager of the St. Paul’s team, Derionne Edmeade, was elated with the win and congratulated his team for not only scoring early but for holding off a determined St. Peter’s team, until the final whistle.

Anthony Isaac, coach of the St. Peter’s team, opined that his team outplayed the St. Paul’s team for most of the game, so he commended them highly, despite the loss.

Premier League matches resume today Friday 6th May, with games also scheduled for Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th May.
