FORMER MISS CULTURE QUEEN PASSES

Charlestown-Nevis—The sad news has been received in Nevis of the passing of Miss Jilian Murhane France.

Miss France was a natural Nevisian beauty who hailed from the area of Cohoughn’s Estate, located close to Cotton Ground village.

She captured the prestigious Miss Culture Queen title in the year 1977 at the tender age of 16.

Miss France passed away on thanksgiving day, November 26th 2015, in the USA, where she resided for many years

After migrating to the USA, she worked her way to a top management position in an Insurance company in New York.

As her health failed, she later settled in Maryland.

A memorial service was already held in her honour in the USA but her sister, Venette James has informed this media house that another memorial service will be held on Thursday 21st January at the St.Thomas’ Anglican church, commencing at 3.00 pm.

Among the many family members, friends and fans that are left to mourn her loss, Miss France also leaves to mourn a son, who is expected in Nevis for the memorial service.

Condolences are extended to the grieving family.
