Four matters slated to be heard in April 2014 Criminal Assizes

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Criminal Assizes in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court, High Court of Justice on Nevis is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 before Her Lordship Justice Lorraine Williams.

Four (4) matters are slated to be heard for this April Assizes. These matters involve one (1) armed robbery, one (1) count of rape and unlawful carnal knowledge, one (1) burglary, one (1) fraudulent conversion and one (1) money laundering.

This court sitting will see one new matter along with three traversed matters. The new matter is that of Akeem Foster; while the traversed matters involve Geoffrey Romany, Ozandy Collins and Alistair Issac.

All men are currently incarcerated at Her Majesty’s Prison in St. Kitts.

No accused murderers are listed on this April criminal assizes. Currently Stoney Grove resident, Asim Parris and two others are incarcerated for the 2008 murder of Leon ‘Gravo’ Westerman, Justin Lapsey of Bath Village is behind bars accused for the 2013 murder of Antonio ‘Dollars’ Hutton and Jerome Kelvin Williams is remanded after being accused of strangling 18 year old Chazere Davis to death.
