Newtown, St.Kitts (September 20th 2015):- Underprivileged residents of East Basseterre will shortly benefit from the opening of the community’s first ever FREE Legal Aid Clinic. Residents of low-income households will be able to meet one-on-one with competent civic-minded attorneys and obtain legal advice on a range of matters to employment law to immigration issues, thanks to the launch of the East Basseterre Legal Aid Clinic. The Legal Aid Clinic will be launched on Saturday 26th September at the Newtown Community Centre at 10am.
The Clinic will be opened for service on the last Saturday of each month at the Newtown Community Centre from 10am to 2pm. The Legal Aid Clinic is an initiative of young Attorney Talibah Byron and Parliamentary Representative for East Basseterre, Hon. Ian “Patches’ Liburd.
The Clinic is pa art of the overall move to assist and uplift the people of East Basseterre by the new Team UNITY Government and Representative Ian “Patches” Liburd.
