Gingerland, Nevis-Ms. Gladys Dore James celebrated her 93rd birthday quietly at the St. George’s and St. John’s Senior citizens home located in Gingerland, on Friday 1st June.
She was surrounded by management and staff of the home; other residents; members of the Seniors’ division of the Social Services Department and family members.
Also present and making a presentation on behalf of his Ministry and the City Drugstore, was Minister of Social Development, Hon. Eric Evelyn, who congratulated the celebrant on achieving the significant milestone and also had words of commendation to her Caregivers, whether at the home or her own family members.
There were also songs of thanksgiving; the birthday song and a relevant scripture was also read.
Minister Evelyn then presented the celebrant with a fruit basket.
One of her daughters then thanked everyone for helping to make her mom’s birthday such a meaningful one.
