As part of the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2026, the Ministry of Small Business, Entrepreneurship, Cooperatives and the Creative Economy is pleased to announce the Call for Nominations for the prestigious Global Entrepreneurship Week Awards (GEW Awards 2026).
Under the theme “The World Needs What You Build,” Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026 provides an important platform to recognise, celebrate and promote the outstanding contributions of entrepreneurs and business leaders who are driving economic growth, creating opportunities, fostering innovation and building a more sustainable future.
The GEW Awards 2026 seek to recognise exceptional individuals and businesses whose vision, determination and entrepreneurial spirit are making a meaningful impact in their communities and the wider economy.
FOUR AWARD CATEGORIES
This year’s awards will recognise excellence across four key categories:
1. Youth in Business Award
Recognising young entrepreneurs who have demonstrated exceptional initiative, creativity and commitment in establishing and growing successful businesses.
2. Innovative Business Award
Celebrating businesses that have introduced innovative products, services, processes or business models that address market needs and create meaningful value.
3. Sustainable Business Award
Honouring businesses that demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, sustainable practices and positive social and economic impact.
4. Women in Business Award
Recognising outstanding women entrepreneurs who have demonstrated leadership, resilience, business excellence and a commitment to empowering others through enterprise.
CELEBRATING THE SPIRIT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The GEW Awards are more than a recognition programme; they are an opportunity to showcase the talent, resilience and ingenuity of entrepreneurs who are helping shape the future of business.
Through these awards, the Ministry aims to inspire emerging entrepreneurs, encourage greater participation in enterprise development, strengthen the business ecosystem and highlight the important role of small businesses in national development.
Entrepreneurs, business owners, stakeholders and members of the public are encouraged to participate in the nomination process and help bring deserving businesses and individuals into the spotlight.
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations are now invited for the GEW Awards 2026 across all four categories.
The public is encouraged to identify and nominate outstanding entrepreneurs and businesses whose achievements reflect the values of innovation, excellence, sustainability, leadership and entrepreneurial impact.
