BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS AND NEVIS — The St. Kitts and Nevis Triathlon Federation is pleased to announce that Greyson Burrell has been selected for the third time to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the 8th CARIFTA Triathlon, Aquathlon and Mixed Relay Championships, scheduled for October 23–25, 2026, at Clearwater Beach, Bermuda.

Burrell will compete in both the triathlon and aquathlon events in the 13–14 male age category, joining talented young athletes from across the Caribbean in one of the region’s premier youth multisport competitions.

The championships will bring together athletes representing Bermuda, Aruba, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, and St. Kitts and Nevis. The programme will also feature mixed-team relay events, providing athletes with an opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, coordination and national pride on the international stage.

A Season of Consistent Performance

Burrell’s selection reflects his dedication, competitive consistency and continued development across the three disciplines of triathlon: swimming, cycling and running.

Throughout 2026, he has delivered strong performances in the mini-series hosted by the St. Kitts and Nevis Triathlon Federation, securing first-place finishes across the series. He further strengthened his competitive record with an impressive first-place finish in the 13–15 male category at the Miami Kids Triathlon, held at Miramar Regional Park.

His achievements extend beyond triathlon competition. Burrell placed second in the Jamida Webster Memorial Cycling Race in Anguilla, demonstrating his ability on the cycling course. In swimming, he secured third place in the 400-metre freestyle at the 2026 ABSF 11th Annual Swim Meet in Antigua and earned second place at the SVG Gallagher Invitational Swim Championships in St. Vincent in late August 2026.

These results highlight Burrell’s versatility as a young multisport athlete and reflect the strength of his development in swimming and cycling, two essential components of triathlon.

An International Stage for Caribbean Talent

The 2026 CARIFTA Triathlon, Aquathlon and Mixed Relay Championships will also feature the 17–21 male and female triathlon events, designated as a World Triathlon Americas Cup competition. This addition brings further international significance to the championships and creates an opportunity to showcase the depth of multisport talent across the region.

Federation Congratulates Burrell

The St. Kitts and Nevis Triathlon Federation congratulates Greyson Burrell on his selection and commends him for the discipline, determination and hard work that have earned him this opportunity.

Representing St. Kitts and Nevis for a third time is a significant milestone and a testament to his continued progress as a young athlete. The Federation is proud to see him carry the national colours onto the regional stage and wishes him every success as he competes in Bermuda.

Best wishes to Greyson Burrell as he represents St. Kitts and Nevis with determination, sportsmanship and national pride!
