Ground breaking for New Road Family Park, sports and church service among Central Basseterre events

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 17TH 2014 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Prime Minister, the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas is expected to join his Cabinet colleague, the Hon. Marcella Liburd, at a number of events marking a week of activities organised by the Central Basseterre Constituency Branch.

mdA church service, the ground breaking ceremony of the New Road Family Park, the opening of the new Constituency Office and a conference are among events planned from January 19th to 26th.

According to a programme released on Friday, a visit to the sick and shut-in, a Love Bus Campaign and sporting competition, are also scheduled.

The Church Service will be held on Sunday 19th January at the Wesley Methodist Church at 9 a.m.

A visit to the Sick and Shut-in in Central Basseterre takes place on Monday 20th and on Tuesday 21st, Primary School Tennis competition at The Gardens Playing Field at 3:00 pm and the Domino Competition (Spanish Community) at 6:00 pm.

On Wednesday 22nd there is the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the New Road Family Park at 4:45 p,m. and on Thursday 23rd, a Basketball Competition at Dorset Park at 6:00 p.m.

The Opening of the Central Basseterre Constituency Office at Central Street is planned at 4:30 p.m. for Friday 24th January.

On Saturday 25th January, the Love Bus Campaign starts at Masses House at 1 p.m. and the week culminates on Sunday 26th with a Central Basseterre Constituency Conference.
