Charlestown, Nevis (Wednesday, October 24th, 2018) -Opposition Parliamentarian of the St. Kitts- Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) Constituency #3, Hon. Konris Maynard told Nevis Reformation Party (NRP) supporters that they must work together because “The enemy is not in this room!”

The University of the West Indies graduate and entrepreneur was at the time addressing delegates as the Featured Guest Speaker at the Nevis Reformation Party Convention held on Sunday (October 21st) at the Jessup’s Community Center.

“All NRP soldiers have a common goal to make your party so strong and appealing that the electorate chooses them the next time around to run the affairs of Nevis at the Federal level. Let this be your focus first.”

MP Maynard, however, orated that the party members must listen to the electorates and take a “humble pill,” meaning that humility and a keen awareness of the wants of the people were essential in order to further strengthen the internal structure of the party.

The bright, articulate politician is of the view that the supporters of the NRP must work hard in uniting all sectors of the party in order to be a stronger force to be reckoned with.

MP Maynard asserted there was a valuable lesson to be learnt from the creation of the present St. Kitts-Nevis coalition government who managed to use their disdain for one man as the linchpin to combine their efforts towards a common goal.

“….If those misfits (UNITY administration) could come together and have a marriage of pure political convenience then certainly NRP soldiers who have so much in common, have a common goal and common philosophies can rise like a resolute army, marching on to victory!”
