INDEPENDENCE FIT GAMES TO DETERMINE FITTEST MAN AND WOMAN IN THE FEDERATION

The Fit games Center located at Bath Plain, is the only place to be on Nevis, on the afternoon of Monday 19th September-Independence Day in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Fitness guru and Fit Center Owner/Manager, David Walwyn, is adamant that the upcoming independence fit games are going to be something special.

In an exclusive interview with NTV sports on Monday, Walwyn indicated that the upcoming event, which is set to start at 2.30 pm will indeed be historic and special.

Not only will there be the usual team competitions but there will also be individual competitions that will at the end of the day, serve to determine the fittest male and female in the federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The individual event will feature the male and female competitors attempting the 18 hurdles, which vary in their level of difficulty and if they are completed and a winner is not determined, the final winner may be determined by the time in which the hurdles were completed.

Three of the toughest hurdles are the monkey crawl; the pyramid monkey bar and the tyre swing.

There is a whopping $1,000.00 EC up for grabs for each winner-male and female.

There is a registration fee of just $75.00 for each participant.

There are no restrictions on teams this time around but teams will be placed against each other based on their makeup.

Spectators will pay only $10.00 EC and children under the age of 12, will pay $5.00 EC.

Once the fittest man and women in the federation are determined, Walwyn hopes to extend the competition to neighbouring islands and beyond, in the future.
