Interprimary Meet Promises Much

A public half holiday has been announced on the island of Nevis and there is eager anticipation as the Nevisian public gears up for the event of the year, the 31st edition of the Primary Schools athletic championships, appropriately dubbed ‘the mini Olympics.’

All of the schools have trained really hard and would have selected their best athletes, mainly from their individual and a collective performance at their various sports meets.
The Head teachers; Teachers and coaches at the various schools are all promising top notch performances from their athletes.

The chatter is over. Today April 3rd 2013 is the day. The action moves to the track at the ET Willet Park and the usual bumper crowd is expected to swell the grounds as the afternoon progresses.
The meet will be streamed live and will be carried live on at least three radio stations within the Federation of St.Kitts and Nevis. NTV channel 8 will also be on hand to provide video coverage of the event.

Two of the top guns from longstanding sponsors, Gulf Insurance, have already flown in from Trinidad.
The vendors will be in early. Security will be hyped and the real impressions will be made on the track.

The question is: Which teams will be celebrating after sunset today? Only time will tell.
