JAMAICA SCORPIONS STING LEEWARDS HURRICANES

It took only three days for the Jamaica Scorpions to complete an innings defeat of the Leewards Hurricanes, right in their back yard at the Warner Park Cricket stadium.

After the Leewards were bowled out for 243 in their first innings, the Jamaica Scorpions responded with a mammoth 550, led in no small measure by an exhilarating innings of 194 by Brandon King. The 22 year old, who celebrated his birthday on December 16th struck 17 fours and 13 sixes in the process.

The Jamaicans declared at 550 for 7 and the Leewards were immediately placed under pressure and just could not respond in kind.

They eventually succumbed on 234. Jamaica Scorpions won by an innings and 73 runs.
