The Joycelyn Liburd Primary School, commenced its athletic season, on Tuesday 23rd January 2017.
On this day, the school hosted the first cross country event on its calendar.
The Kindergarten students took to the road and created much excitement for their adoring parents, siblings and other family members.
Prior to the actual races, it was a joy to witness teachers Bishop and Williams, engaging their house athletes in warm up exercises.
The athletes then took to the road with the girls going first and the boys using the same route, immediately after.
They started close to the Gingerland Health Center, ran along the main road; made a left turn by the Gingerland Police Station and then into the school yard, where they were greeted by their vociferous school mates and visiting adults.
The names of the top placers were not immediately available but the indication from the time keepers, is that the top times achieved, ranked well with previous years.
