John Street Homicide Under Police Investigation

The police are currently investigating a shooting homicide that happened on April 17th, 2024, between 8:30 PM and 9 PM, at John Street, Newtown, St. Kitts. The police received reports of the shooting and responded to the scene along with other law enforcement officers. Upon arrival, they observed eighteen-year-old Crisbel Rivera, a multinational of the Dominican Republic who lived at Carty Alley, Newtown, lying motionless on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds on his body. Preliminary investigations suggest that an armed assailant approached Mr Rivera and fired multiple shots in his direction. Unfortunately, Mr Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is currently underway, and the general public will be kept informed of any developments.
