Basseterre, St.Kitts (Team UNITY Communications):- Team UNITY Candidate for Constituency 2, Central Basseterre, Lawyer Jonel Powell has announced that in another of his many outreach programs to his constituency a Legal Aid Clinic will be held at his Constituency Office at the corner of Cayon Street and Thibou Ave at. 5pm Tomorrow Thursday October 24th 2013.
The People’s Action Movement Deputy Leader advised that he has organized a cadre of young and experienced lawyers who will be on hand to give FREE advice on any legal issues that persons may have and need assistance in dealing with.
Advice which under normal circumstances would be costly and out of the reach of many persons in the community
The dynamic young Powell said ” Although it is geared towards assisting my constituents, anyone from any other constituency and regardless of their political persuasion is welcome to come and make use of this opportunity.”
“I am bringing a new brand of politics to Constituency 2” said Powell. “My constituents are in desperate need of real representation. They need someone who is genuine in assisting them and helping them not only at election time. We have been embarking on ways to unite the people and encourage togetherness, with many activities including happy hours and other socializing type affairs. We have also had an number of “Jumble Sales” allowing persons to get household items, clothing and other things at a very reasonable price and in the cases of the needy, we have have given a great deal of items free of cost. It is all about helping people when there is a need and creating opportunities for persons to better themselves.”
Powell declared that this Legal Aid Clinic was yet another way to empower and educate people.
He further indicated that other plans were being worked on in an effort to continue assisting the community and the development of the constituency and constituents.
“There are a number of youth developmental activities I intend to initiate and embark upon with a view to uplifting my Constituency and my community and to provide the real representation that the people of Central Basseterre deserve” said the very Popular Team UNITY Candidate
